Steven Ankeny Bio

Steven Ankeny comes from a long line of master craftsmen. Even as a young high-school student, Steven showed his innate skills for detail on a project, building a scaled miniature home with structural details of a full-sized home.

After working with his father in his early years, Steven attended Minnesota's South Central College to study construction technology. He then joined with his brother, Charlie, to form a construction company in Jackson Hole, WY. The Ankeny homes around Jackson are recognized for their craftsmanship at the highest level. Their detail from the foundation to the interior trim reflects extreme care in execution.

Steven has been a lifelong student of architectural one-of-a-kind homes such as the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, and Greene and Greene. The home featured on this website, Tablero Talude, has a Frank Lloyd Wright inspiration and takes construction craftsmanship to a whole new level. This internationally recognized home is not only a beautiful place to live, but is an incredible work of art nestled in the Rocky Mountain scenery of Jackson Hole.

Inspired by the spectacular beauty of the Monterey Peninsula, Steven has moved his talents to the Carmel-Big Sur area. His objective will be to again bring art and construction to monumental qualities that will meld with this breathtaking environment.
